Requirements to Become a Driving Instructor
To become a Driving Instructor in the NT, in addition to being certified medically fit by a medical practitioner, and subject to passing a Police traffic and criminal history check, a person must complete the required training course delivered by a Approved Registered Training Organisation.
The Certificate IV in Driving Instruction (NSW91000) is due to expire at midnight 31 December 2007. The replacement qualification (TLI 41207) will be titled Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Driving Instruction).
