Code of Practice

The Northern Territory has adopted an occupational health and safety approach to the management of fatigue under the NT Workplace Health and Safety Act.

The NT Road Transport Fatigue Management Code of Practice was jointly developed by:

• Department of Planning and Infrastructure
• Department of Education, Employment and Training -NT WorkSafe
• the Australian Trucking Association NT (ATANT)

The NT Road Transport Fatigue Management Code of Practice was gazetted in 1998.
